Christen Press scored the lone goal of the game while Thorns FC players Allie Long, Meghan Klingenberg and Lindsey Horan all helped the U.S. Women's National Team to a 1-0 win over Norway in an international friendly Sunday in Sandefjord. It was the USWNT's second win in a row on the trip having beat Sweden 1-0 three days before.

For Long, who started and played the full 90 in the match, getting those two wins in a short period was a proud accomplishment.

"I think that to come here...and to grind out two wins, I think that’s big time," she said. "To get two wins, that’s exactly what we came for and to continue to build and grow. It was good."

Klingenberg also started for the U.S. coming out at halftime for fellow Portland teammate Horan who played the final 45.

Meanwhile, at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada, Portland's Christine Sinclair had two assists as the Canada Women's National Team beat Costa Rica 6-0 in an international friendly Sunday.

Sinclair, who played 67 minutes in the match, helped the Canadians get an early lead in the 3rd minute when she came down the right side and cut a ball back into the six-yard box for Deanne Rose. Rose finished the goal inside the near post.

Sinclair's second assist was even better than the first. In the 21st minute, she chipped a ball up in the air for Jeanine Beckie who slammed it on the volley to make it 4-0 and earn herself a hat trick.
