Thorns FC forward Morgan Weaver was selected no. 2 overall by the club in the 2020 NWSL College Draft. An offensive star at Washington State during her collegiate career, the rookie also loves to bake. Here she shares one of her favorite recipes: Mom's Banana Bread.

Mom's Banana Bread


1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs
3-4 bananas
1/3 cup water
1 2/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Splash of vanilla


Heat oven 350˚F and grease pan.

In a bowl, mix together sugar and butter (melted).

Stir in eggs for 30 seconds and then add the bananas. Stir for another 30 seconds.

Add remaining ingredients and mix.

Cook for 45 min and check if ready. If not, bake for another 5 minutes and then check again.
