PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC announced today the launch of a limited-edition merchandise collection in partnership with soccer lifestyle brand Live Breathe Futbol, leading up to the club’s regular-season finale against the Seattle Reign FC on Friday, Sept. 7. The collection is being launched as part of a special supporter appreciation program on Sept. 7, when all merchandise will be 30 percent off for everyone in attendance at that evening’s game.

The six-product collection includes a men’s and women’s waterproof rain jacket, crew-neck sweatshirt, t-shirt, five-panel hat and scarf. LBF’s collaboration with Thorns FC marks the first time the lifestyle brand has partnered with a professional women’s sports team.
“Partnering with Live Breathe Futbol allowed us to showcase the club’s brand in a fresh and contemporary way,” said Alex Kocher, Thorns FC creative director. “Our goal was to incorporate thoughtful and subtle detailing throughout each piece to make this collection something very special for supporters.”
The collection will be available for purchase starting at 12 noon (Pacific) on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at www.shopthornsfc.com, www.livebreathefutbol.com and in-stadium at Providence Park. It also will be available at the Thorns FC Team Store and all stadium retail locations at Providence Park on match days.

We introduced new products that marry functionality and design in a way that pushes brand collaborations in American soccer to a new level.”
The five-panel hat features an embroidered Thorns FC crest along with an all-over rose print under the bill. The crew-neck sweater and scarf features the slogan, “By Any Other Name Would Smell As Sweet,” while the t-shirt is detailed with a rose pattern. Finally, the rain jacket was created with a waterproof, nylon fabric material and features Thorns FC and LBF logos.The collection features a variety of subtle, unique details, including special stitching, hidden pockets and drop hems. Each piece in the collection was designed and manufactured from scratch.
