Sophia Smith tallies team-leading sixth goal of the season

ORLANDO, Fla. – Portland Thorns FC dropped a 3-1 road result to the Orlando Pride at Exploria Stadium on Sunday evening. Sophia Smith recorded her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the match. Morgan Weaver tallied an assist for a second straight match. Portland will close out a three-game road swing on June 18, playing the Chicago Red Stars at SeatGeek Stadium.

Smith tallied her team-leading sixth goal of the season. Her six goals are the second-most in the NWSL, trailing only Kerolin (7). Notably, five of Smith’s six goals have come in road matches. Morgan Weaver tallied her second assist of the season in a second straight match after recording one against OL Reign on June 3.
