Thorns FC on international duty with SheBelieves Cup and Algarve Cup tournaments

A total of eight Thorns FC players will be in action this week with their respective national teams. Five players will be on American soil playing in the first ever SheBelieves Cup, while three others are competing in Portugal at the Algarve Cup. Below is a breakdown of who is playing where, schedules and how to follow along.


The Algarve Cup runs March 2-9, with final matches taking place on March 9. The SheBelieves Cup goes from March 3-9.

The winner of the tournament will be based on total points (three for a win, one for a tie), with the first tie-breaker being overall goal difference, followed by most total tournament goals scored, then head-to-head result and lastly (if necessary) FIFA Ranking.
