The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 France draw was held today at La Seine Musicale in Paris with former Thorns FC head coach Cindy Parlow Cone participating. With the groups now set for next summer's tournament, numerous Thorns FC internationals found out what group they’re national teams have been placed.
Group E sees Christine Sinclair and Canada facing off against Cameroon, New Zealand and The Netherlands.
Portland’s Australia contingent of Ellie Carpenter, Caitlin Foord and Hayley Raso found themselves in Group C where they’ll go up against Thorns teammate Andressinha and Brazil along with Italy and Jamaica.
Rounding out the groups are host France in Group A alongside South Korea, Norway and Nigeria. Group B finds Germany, China, Spain and South Africa while Group D is made up of England, Scotland, Argentina and Japan.
The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup runs from June 7-July 7, 2019.
