PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC today announced that the club has released goalkeeper replacement Lindsey Harris along with defender and National Team Replacement Player Kayla Morrison.

“We appreciate all the efforts and contributions both Kayla and Lindsey made during World Cup period,” said Thorns FC head coach Mike Norris. “It is not an easy task to come into this environment for a short period, but both players embraced the challenge, and we wish them both the best in their future endeavors.”

In the case of an injured goalkeeper, or when a team has less than two available goalkeepers, a team is able to add a goalkeeper to its roster until its goalkeeper is back to full participation with the team. National Team Replacement players can be signed when a national team player is away on international duty and will not count against the team’s roster limit.

Thorns FC return to NWSL regular season action on Sunday, Aug. 20, at Providence Park, playing host to the North Carolina Courage; kickoff is set for 7:30pm PT on Paramount+.
