Thorns FC sign Isabel Dehakiz as National Team Replacement Player

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC have signed midfielder Isabel Dehakiz as a National Team Replacement player, the club announced today. Dehakiz will be eligible for selection after her International Transfer Certificate (ITC) has been secured.

Dehakiz, 22, played four seasons (2018-21) at Arizona State University before taking a fifth year and concluding her collegiate career at Santa Clara University in 2022. Following her collegiate career, Dehakiz joined Colombian side Deportivo Cali in Liga Femenina, where she played in 13 games (all starts). She was also recently part of a training camp with the Colombia Women’s National Team in December 2022 and has previous experience with their youth national teams.

National Team Replacement players can be signed when a national team player is away on international duty and will not count against the team’s roster limit.
