Portland Thorns FC midfielders, Lindsey Horan and Allie Long, along with forward Hayley Raso, are set to compete in the inaugural edition of the Tournament of Nations which runs July 27-August 3.

Horan and Long will join the U.S. Women’s National Team, with Raso representing Australia. All three players return to Portland prior to the club’s next match against the Houston Dash on August 5.

The international women’s tournament features competition between four nations (Australia, Brazil, Japan and the United States) with games taking place in Seattle, San Diego and Carson, CA.

The winner of the round-robin tournament will be based on total points earned with tie-breakers awarded as follows: goal difference, followed by most total goals scored, then head-to-head result and finally, FIFA Ranking if necessary.

NWSL players will be represented on all four international rosters, with players like Orlando Pride's Marta joining Brazil, and Seattle Reign FC's Rumi Utsugi joining the Japanese team.

Long, Horan and the USWNT will play Australia July 27 (7pm PT | ESPN), Brazil on July 30 (5pm PT, ESPN2), and Japan August 3 (7pm PT | ESPN2). Raso and the Matildas will face the U.S. on the 27th, Japan on July 30 (2:15pm PT | ESPN3) and finally Brazil on August 3 (4:15pm PT | ESPN3).
