On Day Four of the 2022 Stand Together Week, Portland Timbers and Thorns players and staff spread out across the city to work with volunteers on projects.

Former player, current Timbers Ambassador and soccer analyst Liam Ridgewell returned to one of his favorite projects at Zenger Farms alongside volunteers from Providence Health & Services to work on the farm's garden and natural spaces.

Over at Grow Portland, Timber Joey harvested vegetables with a volunteer crew before he headed over to join more Providence volunteers at Habitat for Humanity's Portland ReStore to help paint and revitalize the exterior of the store as well as assist with organizing donated items.

At the Chelsea Hicks Foundation Chelsea's Closet, Timbers Marvin Loría and Nathan Fogaça joined Thorn Olivia Moultrie and Providence volunteers to sort, organize and process costumes, craft projects, accessories, and toys for the organization.

Sunshine Division

Volunteers from Coca-Cola met up with Thorns Yazmeen Ryan, Shelby Hogan and assistant coach Vytas along with Timbers Sebastián Blanco, Claudio Bravo and David Ayala as well as team owner Merritt Paulson at Portland's Sunshine Division to work on packing food, sorting donated items, and taping boxes to provide food and clothing relief to people in need.

Blessings in a Backpack at Providence Park

Timbers GM/president of soccer Gavin Wilkinson, Santiago Moreno, Pablo Bonilla and Yimmi Chara worked alongside Thorns assistant coach Mike Norris, Meghan Nally and Kelli Hubly at Providence Park to Pack the Sack. Pack the Sack is a program from Blessings in a Backpack to provide kid-friendly, nutritious, ready-to-eat, shelf stable food items for schoolchildren in the fall.
