Quick Strikes | Five numbers to know for the Timbers battle with Columbus

Diego Chara, Timbers @ SJ, 4.6.19

The Portland Timbers continue their historic road trip to start the 2019 season when they head to Ohio for the second time this season to take on the Columbus Crew, Saturday at MAPFRE Stadium (4:30pm PT, FOX 12 PLUS (KPDX)). Here are five numbers to know for #CLBvPOR on the latest Quick Strikes.

2 In each of Portland's last three visits to Columbus (including the 2015 MLS Cup), the Timbers have scored two goals. MAPFRE Stadium is the only visiting Eastern Conference stadium that Portland has scored multiple goals in three or more different matches.

33 With his goal against FC Dallas, Cristhian Paredes became the 33rd different Timbers player to score on a header in an MLS match. The goal, which came in the 21st match of Paredes' MLS career, was the first headed shot on target of the Paraguayan's career.

20 Since joining the club for the 2017 season, Sebastián Blanco has 20 assists for the Timbers. In that timespan, the Timbers are one of three teams to have multiple players with 20 or more assists (Diego Valeri - 26 assists), along with Toronto FC and Atlanta United FC.

7Diego Chara's seven road assists for the Timbers are tied for the fifth-most by a Portland player in MLS play. Chara's last road assist came in last Saturday's match against Dallas while his first away assist came on Oct. 2, 2011, in Portland's 1-0 victory at Vancouver.

540 Goalkeeper Jeff Attinella is the only Timbers player to have played every minute of the 2019 season. Attinella has 23 saves this season, which is just one behind the league lead for most saves.
