The 2023 edition of Stand Together Week is only days away. On Tuesday, Timber Joey joined Dr. Robin Beavers, Portland Timbers and Thorns FC VP of Community and Social Impact, on KGW in Portland to talk about the week and opportunities to volunteer across the city.
Happening Sept. 3-9, the club is inviting fans to volunteer and team up with mascot Timber Joey, Timbers, Timbers2, and Thorns players and club staff on the various projects listed below or volunteer at any local community organization of their choosing. Timber Joey and Dr. Beavers spoke in the segment about all of the exciting projects and what they, the club, staff and players are looking forward to in volunteering.
The comprehensive, week-long community initiative supports dozens of nonprofit projects and provides in-person volunteer opportunities across the city.
