National team call-ups for June international windows have begun. Forward Noah Santos of the Timbers Academy has been called up by the U.S. U-16 National Team for the 2023 International Dream Cup in Fukushima, Japan.
Santos, a native of Vancouver, Wash., receives his third call-up for the U.S. U-16 National Team during the current cycle. He recently participated in the Football Federations Cup in Spain last November.
Under head coach Michael Nsien – who played for the Timbers back in 2006 – the U.S. U-16s will face host Japan (May 31; 10 p.m. PT), Netherlands (June 1; 7 p.m. PT) and Nigeria (June 3; 10 p.m. PT) at J-Village Stadium during the International Dream Cup.
The U.S. U-16s roster for the tournament features 20 players from 15 different clubs. All players are eligible for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, set for this November/December with the host country still to be confirmed.
