2011: Has been out since Sept. 2 with a concussion. Kept a clean sheet in the Timbers Reserves' 2-0 win over the Earthquakes Reserves, Aug. 7. Earned his first win with the MLS Timbers for keeping a clean sheet in the first half of a 2-0 exhibition win over Argentina's Independiente July 26. Kept a clean sheet during the first half of an exhibition against the English Premier League's West Bromwich Albion July 20. Played 90 minutes and conceded two goals in a 2-0 exhibition loss to Dutch champions AFC Ajax May 25. Allowed three goals and recorded five saves in the Timbers’ March 19 defeat to Colorado, his first MLS match since June 26, 2004. Started and allowed one goal at Toronto March 26 before being subbed off at halftime with a hamstring injury. Played the first half of the Timbers Reserves' 2-1 win over Earthquakes Reserves June 21 and did not allow a goal. Returned from injury to play 90 minutes in the Timbers Reserves' 3-2 loss at Seattle May 15. Allowed two goals in the Timbers Reserves' 2-0 loss to Seattle May 30.

2010: Was signed by the Timbers on Feb. 23, while recovering from offseason surgery ... Made one appearance during the USSF Division-2 Pro League regular season, playing eight minutes as a sub against Crystal Palace Baltimore on Sept. 18 ... He was on the match-day roster for exhibition matches against Manchester City and Mexican first-division club Deportivo Atlas.

Other professional experience: Played in 69 games in five seasons with Norway’s Aalesund FK from 2005-09 ... In 2006, led Aalesund to a second-place finish in Norway’s second division, and a return to the country’s Premier League in 2007 ... Scored first professional goal in 2007, netting a stoppage-time equalizer in a 2-2 draw against Rosenborg ... Did not play during the 2008-09 season due to injury.

2004 MLS: Started seven games for the New England Revolu¬tion, compiling 585 minutes and one shutout ... Despite his limited time on the field, was named New England’s 2004 Defender of the Year.

2003 MLS: Totaled an MLS career-high 25 games and 2,347 minutes for New England ... Recorded 95 saves, four shutouts and an 11-6-8 record during the regular season ... Aided in the Revolution’s run to the 2003 MLS Cup semifinals ... Posted a 0.64 goals-against average over three playoff matches ... Upon the conclusion of the season was named the Revolution’s 2003 Defender of the Year.

2002 MLS: Was signed by New England on Jan. 15, 2002 ... Split time in goal, playing in 16 games during the regular season ... Recorded an MLS career-best 1.23 goals-against average, allowing only 20 goals on the season in 1,460 minutes ... Was the Revolution’s starting goalkeeper through the playoffs and posted a 0.67 goals-against average in seven playoff appearances ... Helped New England reach the 2002 MLS Cup, which the club lost 1-0 on a goal in overtime to the LA Galaxy.

2001 MLS: Split the season between MLS’ Colorado Rapids and Tampa Bay Mutiny ... Started the season in Colorado, playing in nine games before being traded to Tampa Bay on June 28 ... Played in 13 games with the Mutiny to finish the campaign ... Was named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 18 ... In total, played in 22 games during the season and recorded three clean sheets ... Named Tampa Bay’s 2001 Defender of the Year.

2000 MLS: Was the third-overall pick in the 2000 MLS SuperDraft by the Rapids ... Appeared in 13 games, logging 1,146 minutes and two shutouts as a rookie ... Helped in the team’s run to the playoffs, but did not make a postseason appearance.

INTERNATIONAL

Was a member of the U.S. U-23 National Team for three years, starting in 1998 ... Served as the U-23 team’s starting goalkeeper when it qualified for the 2000 Olympics ... Helped the team claim a bronze medal at the 1999 Pan-Am Games, splitting time with U.S. National Team goalkeeper Tim Howard ... Has been called into camp with the senior U.S. National Team on several occasions and was on the 18-man roster for the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Had a standout collegiate career at the College of William & Mary ...
