The Timbers open their August schedule and wrap up a season-long, three-game road trip tonight as they visit the Rochester Rhinos. Tonight's match is the second and final meeting between the two sides during the regular season. In their previous matchup, the Timbers defeated the Rhinos in their 2010 season-opening match on April 17 at PGE Park. Midfielder Ryan Pore scored the game-winning goal on an 85-minute penalty kick to secure a 1-0 Portland win. Since 2001, the Timbers are 4-9-2 against Rochester, recording three of their four wins over the last two seasons. In their lone visit to Rochester last season, the Timbers recorded their first road win over the Rhinos since 2001, earning a 4-1 win on Aug. 15.
