Though the Portland Timbers home win streak was snapped by D.C. United 3-2 on Sunday afternoon, the game was not without some exciting moments and back and forth play.
Captain Jack Jewsbury's penalty kick conversion in the 67th minute began a wild comeback attempt for the Timbers though the end result was not meant to be in the Timbers favor. Sal Zizzo, Troy Perkins, Eric Brunner, and Rodney Wallace all contributed to the fight back but with Jewsbury's on-field play and PK goal, he was the voter's runaway winner for the CenturyLink Man of the Match vs. D.C. United.
