The Portland Timbers took on the Eastern Conference leading New York Red Bulls on Sunday and managed to battle them to a draw in one of the most exciting matches of the whole season. Down 1-0 to New York after an early goal, the comeback was started by midfielder and captain Jack Jewsbury.
While there the game had a wild finish with goals, red cards and a missed penalty (by Jewsbury, no less), with 87.02% of the vote, Captain Jack was the runaway winner for the CenturyLink Man of the Match beating out Jorge Perlaza, Darlington Nagbe, Diego Chara, and Kalif Alhassan.
