On Sunday night, Portland Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts continued his run of stellar play with yet another shutout in the 1-0 win over the Seattle Sounders. It marked the 12th clean sheet for Ricketts in 2013--a career high. Not surprisingly, MLS recognized him yet again for one of his sterling diving stops in the match with another MLS Save of the Week nomination.
The Colorado Rapids are also in the mix with two nominations as goalkeeper Clint Irwin earned a place for one of several excellent saves, but defender Drew Moor also got the nod for an unbelievable double save on the goalline. Was his desperate effort enough to outpoll his gloved competitors?
