Despite a second half that saw the Portland Timbers out-shoot Toronto FC, 9-5, and a passing difference for the match of 499-to-338, Portland was unable to overcome Sebastian Giovinco's goal in the fifth minute. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


5 Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey delivered another nice performance in front of goal for the Timbers, notching five saves. He twice denied Sebastian Giovinco including a key save on an one-on-one opportunity in the second half. 


46/48 Midfielder Darlington Nagbe continued his gaudy passing numbers Saturday, completing 46 of 48 passes in the match. Nagbe also had four succesful dribbles for the game. 


300With the start, Nat Borchers played his 300th career MLS match. Borchers is the second player this week to hit the milestone in the league, with Jon Busch of the Chicago Fire hitting the number on Friday, and the 29th player in league history to reach the milestone.
