FLIGHT ARRIVAL UPDATE: The Alaska Airlines flight with the Portland Timbers will now arrive at Portland International Airport at 3:54 p.m., about one and a half hours later than originally scheduled.
Soccer fans are invited to join the first opportunity to celebrate the MLS Cup Champions today shortly after they arrive at Portland International Airport.
People who wish to greet the team may assemble curbside at the south end of the upper roadway outside the Alaska Airlines departure area. The roadway will be closed to traffic beginning at 2:45 p.m. Public transportation is strongly encouraged.
