The U.S. Women's National Team defeated England 1-0 in the first game of the inaugural SheBelieves Cup in Tampa, Fla. on Thursday night.

Five Thorns FC players started this match, as forward Lindsey Horan, midfielder Tobin Heath, and defenders Meghan Klingenberg and Emily Sonnett were all in the U.S. starting XI, while forward Jodie Taylor got a starting nod for England.

In the 72nd minute, Washington Spirit forward Crystal Dunn blasted home the game's only goal after some fancy footwork by Thorns FC defender Meghan Klingenberg helped set her up. Klingenberg received credit for the assist.

Dunn's goal proved enough, as Heath, Klingenberg, and Sonnett all contributed 90 minutes of shutout defense to close out the match.

The U.S. will next play France on Sunday in Nashville (12 p.m. PST), while England will face Germany in a rematch of their World Cup semifinal tilt (2:30 p.m. PST).
