The Portland Timbers, Howler Magazine and Literary Arts will host a special event in honor of the publication of the "Seven Stories" collaboration Wednesday night at Kells Brew Pub (210 NW 21st Ave.).The evening's festivities begin at 5:30pm PT with readings from collection authors Dennie Wendt and Joseph Gallivan. Timbers NASL great Willie Anderson will also be on hand to share stories from Soccer City, USA's early days.
The book is a collection of the seven articles that appeared on Timbers.com throughout the 2015 season as part of a special collaboration with Howler that utilized a talented stable of national soccer writers and fantastic illustrators. It will be on sale at the event for $12 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Literary Arts.
Come on by, have a pint, buy a book then head over to watch the Timbers battle FC Dallas at Providence Park (7:30pm PT, ROOT SPORTS).
