#SoccerDayInOregon | Over 37,000 fans attended special Timbers and Thorns FC doubleheader at Providence Park

Over 37,000 fans saw a ton of soccer this past Saturday in a unique doubleheader. A crowd 16,145 witnessed Thorns FC open their 2017 NWSL regular-season with a 2-0 win over the Orlando Pride in the opening stanza while Providence Park welcomed 21,144 for the night cap as the Portland Timbers lost 1-0 to Sporting Kansas City in a hard-fought match.
