2017 Stand Together Week Day 3 | Home building, planting, food banking and more in #STWeek

On Stand Together Week’s third day of volunteerism, Timbers, Thorns FC and T2 players are set to join members of the community for some more non-profit work, this time on the west side of Portland.



Timbers’ midfielders Diego Chara and Victor Arboleda, T2’s Blake Bodily and Michael Amick will work with volunteers from Hampton Lumber and Providence Health and Services to construct houses for Willamette West Habitat for Humanity, in Beaverton. Later, Timbers' Darion Asprilla, plus T2’s Lamar Batista andRussell Cicerone will work at Supa Fresh Youth Farm with Enterprise Holdings, Providence Health and Services and Hampton Lumber to create some new vegetable garden beds, while Timbers’ Rennico Clark and defender Marco Farfan will join up with Thorns players Mana Shim and Kendall Johnson, as well as volunteers from Adidas, to participate in Alder Culture Night at Playworks to join with kids in international games. Meanwhile, Enterprise Holdings and Alpha Media volunteers will join the Timbers’ Chance Meyers, Thorns FC’s Nadia Nadim and Meg Morris, T2’s Neco Brett and Augustine Williams at the to repack donated and purchased food at Oregon Food Bank. Timbers Defender Vytas and T2’s Kyle Bjornethun, Harold Hanson, and Tomás Granitto will round out the day with Hampton Lumber volunteers, to create a maker space area at Highland Park Middle School.
