Road wins all around for the Timbers Academy teams as the U-19, U-17, U-14 and U-13 sides all picked up road results in their latest matches on Nov. 18. The Timbers U-19 and U-17 teams continued their run of form each winning a third straight match, while Jhovany Gaytan recorded a hat trick in a second straight match for the Timbers U-14 side. 

Forward Will Inalien delivered a 90th-minute, game-winning goal to help the Timbers U-19s (8-4-1, 25pts) to a 2-1 road win against Barca Academy in Casa Grande, Ariz. Lucas Cini opened the scoring in the 30th minute with this 13th goal of the season. The home side leveled the score in the 64th minute, but Inalien delivered his sixth goal of the season to secure all three points for the Timbers U-19s.

The team has won six of its last eight games, including three straight. The Timbers U-19s currently occupy fourth place in the Northwest Division and a playoff position.

Next up: The Timbers U-19s will compete in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase Nov. 29 to Dec. 3, and will play Baltimore Armour, Houston Dynamo Academy and D.C. United Academy, in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

The Timbers U-17s (7-5-1, 22pts) scored four straight goals to top Barca Academy, 4-3, on the road in Casa Grande, Ariz. After taking a 2-0 lead, Barca Academy had a player sent off in the 35th minute, and the Timbers U-17s took advantage. Nicholas Scardina converted a penalty kick in the 37th minute and Josh Darius tallied his ninth goal of the season in the 67th to even the score, 2-2. Portland then scored twice, just three minutes apart, on goals by Rian Jamai and Andrew Nunez inside the final 10 minutes to own a 4-2 lead. But Barca nicked a goal in the 90th minute, capping a wild finish.

Unbeaten in four games, the Timbers U-17s have won six of its last eight games. The team currently sits in fourth in the Northwest Division and occupies a playoff position. 

Next up: off to the Winter Showcase along with the U-19s. While in Florida, the Timbers U-17s will face Baltimore Armour, Orlando City Academy and Colorado Rapids Academy. 

Jeremy Ross scored the opening goal just 18 minutes into the match, but the Timbers U-15s (2-6-2, 8pts) fell, 2-1, to the Barca Academy on the road.

The Timbers U-14s and Timbers U-13s traveled North to Preston, Wash., and each earned road wins against Eastside FC on Nov. 18. 

Gaytan’s three goals led the Timbers U-14s to a 3-0 win against their Eastside FC counterparts. It was his second straight match with a hat trick, also scoring three against Greater Seattle Surf on Nov. 11. He now has a team best nine goals on the campaign. The team has won three straight.

The Timbers U-13s had two different players with a brace in their 5-1 win against Eastside FC. The team scored four goals inside a seven-minute span between the 31st and 38th minutes, including two from Alex Borst just two minutes apart (33rd and 35th minutes). Yojany Espiritu chipped in with the first of his two goals in the 31st minute, while Milos Mavrack scored in the 38th minute. Espiritu then bookended the scoring with a tally early in the second half.
