CenturyLink, Timbers looking for a game-changer in your community this fall

CenturyLink Game-Changer 2014 2

We all know a special young person that makes a difference in our community. One that volunteers to work with kids, mentors others or assists those with disabilities. The Timbers and CenturyLink are looking to recognize high-school age students or youth in our community that are making a positive impact on those around them. Have one in mind? Nominate them today to be the CenturyLink Game-Changer.

One local youth will be selected to receive a special VIP package to an upcoming Timbers match for being the CenturyLink Game-Changer, which includes four tickets, four pregame VIP passes and the opportunity to meet select players after the match.

Spring CenturyLink Game-Changer: Henry Rocker
A student at Jesuit High School, Rocker volunteers his time with Special Olympics Oregon. Inspired by his uncle, who has an intellectual disability and participated in athletics, Rocker and his father coached an adult basketball team, helped run Special Olympics Oregon’s Polar Plunge 5k event and contributed to the organization of a five-week, Unified Sports Spring soccer league. Rocker, a standout soccer player at JHS, helped make it possible for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate in sports, develop physical fitness and friendships.

Celebrate the difference-makers in your community. For additional information on the CenturyLink Game-Changer, visit www.timbers.com/centurylink.
