We asked Jenny a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
"Though I had gone to games with my children years earlier, I will never forget the Timbers’ opening home match as a new MLS club. The roar of the fans was unending, as was the rain; everyone stayed on their feet for the entire 90 minutes and the atmosphere was electric. I had never experienced anything quite like it and the feeling has stayed with me ever since."
What was your favorite moment of the match tonight?
"Do I really have to pick just one? OK, I have to go with Valeri’s goal, though Attinella’s brilliant save is a very close second."
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
"Jeff Attinella!"
What is your prediction for the next MLS match – Timbers versus Colorado Rapids?
"Timbers with the win, by 2 goals. OK lads, I’m counting on you!"
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom? Any favorite pieces of Timbers memorabilia?
"I’m so proud to be a Timbers fan - win or lose, every Timbers game is a highlight on my calendar! I don’t have any game day superstitions, but I make sure I always wear something green. My favorite memorabilia is the new plaque I got as part of the Axe Society Member of the Match experience on Friday (thank you!)"
