While the Portland Timbers open their 2016 preseason this Saturday at the adidas Timbers Training Center, midfielder Darlington Nagbe has already been keeping busy at the U.S. Men's National Team training camp in at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

Nagbe received his first cap with the USMNT earlier this fall and was part of head coach Jurgen Klinsmann's group called into the traditional January camp ahead of the national team's upcoming 2016 campaign. Klinsmann has been pleased with the group's work so far.

"It's a very positive vibe to it. It's a good group of players, a mix between senior national team group and the U-23 group so we have a lot of youngsters in there," he said. "Every training session was very intense but with a very positive approach and I think they're enjoying it. It's a lot of work, obviously, it's preseason, but so far it's been very positive."

The team is preparing for its first two friendlies of the year against Iceland on Jan. 31 (12:45pm PT; ESPN2) and Canada on Feb. 5 (7:15pm PT; FS1). Both matches will be played at the StubHub Center.
