New Portland Timbers striker Maximiliano Urruti comes to Portland after a promising career with Newell's Old Boys of the Primera División de Argentina (Argentina’s First Division) followed by a short stint with Toronto FC.
A fluid attacker, Urruti can ghost behind defenders (:40), show cheeky creativitiy (1:52) and shoot with raw power (2:29) among many other attributes. He also has a knack of staying with the play all the way through. Watch how a deflected ball off the crossbar falls to him and he slams it home on the volley at the 4:02 mark.
