With training camps opening across the league last week and the Portland Timbers own opening today, the 2012 MLS preseason gets rolling along.
The league was busy with the news that the LA Galaxy re-signed David Beckham, Chicago Fire named a new jersey sponsor, and clubs bolstered their rosters with the 2012 Supplemental Draft. The US Men's National MLS-heavy roster played a friendly against Venezuela to pull out a late win. However, one longtime USMNT veteran, Clint Dempsey, was still with his club side Fulham scoring a hat-trick against Newcastle--the first ever scored by an American in the Premier League.
