Diego Valeri #2, Timbers vs. Dallas, 4.13.16

Just two weeks after the Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps FC matched up in Canada, the teams will face off again when the sides meet at Providence Park Sunday afternoon (1:30pm PT, ESPN). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvVAN in the latest Quick Strikes.

6 Since arriving in Portland, Diego Valeri's six career assists against Vancouver are tied for the most by a Timbers player against a single MLS opponent.

86 Sunday’s match marks the 86th meeting (31-36-18) between Portland and Vancouver across all eras (since 1975), including playoffs. Since joining MLS, the Timbers lead the regular-season series 6-3-6, tying Portland’s record for the most wins against a single team in MLS play.

24 The MLS match-ups between the Timbers and Vancouver has seen quite a few goals. In fact, Portland's 24 goals against the Caps is the most the club has scored against any MLS team.

16 For the first time in MLS regular-season play, the two Cascadia rivals will play twice within 16 days of each other. In the NASL, the clubs only played each other so close together on one occasion while it happened on eight different occasions during the USL era.

23 Goalkeeper Jake Gleeson has 23 saves in his last four matches. That is the most saves over the course of four games ever by a Timbers goalkeeper in the team's MLS era, surpassing Donovan Ricketts who had 20 saves in a four-game stretch in 2014.
