Quick Strikes | Jeremy Ebobisse is Portland's Iron Man having appeared in 35 straight matches

Jeremy Ebobisse #2, Timbers vs. LA, 6.19.19

The Portland Timbers will play their only Thursday game of the season when the face Orlando City SC at Providence Park (7pm PT, TICKETS, ESPN). Here are five number to know in the latest Quick Strikes.

148 Since making his MLS debut in 2013, Diego Valeri has scored 73 regular season goals to go with 75 assists. The 148 combined goals and assists are the most goals plus assists in MLS over that time span with the next closest player totaling 134 (Bradley Wright-Phillips).

35 Forward Jeremy Ebobisse has appeared in 35 consecutive matches for the Timbers including U.S. Open Cup, regular season and postseason play. Ebobisse has played in every Timbers match since making the start against the Rapids on Sept. 8, 2018.

20 Through 18 matches this season, the Timbers have been called for offside just 20 times, which is fewest in MLS in 2019. Portland is on pace to be called offside 38 times this season, which would tie for the fewest offside calls against a team in MLS history (Sporting Kansas City-2018).

252 The Timbers have scored 252 regular-season goals at Providence Park since making their debut in MLS in 2011. Only three MLS teams have scored more home goals in that span.

4 Thursday's match is just four days after Portland Thorns FC hosted the Orlando Pride. It is just the second time ever that Thorns FC and the Timbers have hosted teams from the same metro area less than five days apart. This also occurred Aug. 7-9, 2015, when the Timbers beat the Chicago Fire, 1-0, and the Thorns beat the Chicago Red Stars, 2-1.
