Quick Strikes | Timbers look to continue April success

Jeremy Ebobisse, Timbers @ LA, 3.31.19

In the first of five consecutive Saturday road matches, the Portland Timbers face the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium (5pm PT, ROOT SPORTS) this weekend. Here are five numbers to know for #SJvPOR in the latest Quick Strikes.

7 Defender Jorge Moreira made his Timbers debut on Sunday against the Galaxy and had seven tackles in the match. It was just the third time since the beginning of last season that a Timbers player had seven or more tackles in a single match.

4 Saturday will be the first of four Timbers matches in April, the fourth month of the year. The Timbers have a record of 4-2-2 over the last two years in April, having outscored opponents by a 16-to-11 margin.

80 Four of Jeremy Ebobisse's five career regular season goals for the Timbers have come on the road. The 80 percent of goals coming in away matches is the highest percentage of any Timbers player (min. three goals).

45 The Timbers and Earthquakes have been playing against each other ever since the teams faced off on June 14, 1975 in the NASL. Saturday's match will be the 45th league match in fixture history with Portland currently holding a 23-14-7 advantage.

75 After his three assists in the team's first four matches this season, Diego Valeri now has 75 assists in MLS play (including playoffs). Since his debut in 2013, Valeri has 16 more assists than any other MLS player in the regular season and playoffs.
