Timbers on Campus | Hamer with game winner for Gonzaga, Fisher honored with VCU

Timbers U-23s midfielder Devon Fisher was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Team of the Week for his performance against Georgetown Sept. 11. Fisher tallied a goal in the second half and the game-winning assist in overtime to give VCU a 2-1 victory.

Timbers Academy player Timur Zhividze tallied an assist for Concordia in a wild 7-4 win over the College of Idaho Tuesday night. Zhividze collected a ball in the penalty box before setting up a teammate to give Concordia a 2-1 lead in the 24th minute. The Cavaliers return home to take on Washington’s Northwest University Saturday, Sept. 27.

U-23s alum Will Seymore tallied an assist in the first half as Oregon State defeated the University of Portland 2-0 on Sept. 18. Oregon State is on a four-match unbeaten run after defeating Northwest Christian 11-1 Monday night. The Beavers are currently ranked 24th by TopDrawerSoccer.com and the NSCAA and 25th by Soccer America.

Former U-23s player Zach Hamer tallied the game-winner for Gonzaga in a 4-2 win over UNLV on Sept. 20. The goal is Hamer’s first of the season for the Zags. Gonzaga hits the road to take on Stanford and Timbers Academy products Foster Langsdorf and Sam Werner Friday, Sept. 26.
