PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers will face the Houston Dynamo in the first leg of the two-game, aggregate-goal Western Conference Semifinals in the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs at BBVA Compass Stadium on Monday, Oct. 30, it was announced this evening. The opening game of the semifinals against the Dynamo will be televised nationally on FS1. Kickoff for the match will take place at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific).
Following the Oct. 30 match, Portland will play host to Houston in the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinals on Sunday, Nov. 5, at Providence Park, with kickoff time and broadcast information to be determined. The Timbers advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals after securing the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, bypassing the Knockout Round of the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs and playing host to the second leg of the conference semifinals as the higher-seeded club. The Dynamo advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals after defeating Sporting Kansas City 1-0 in extra time at BBVA Compass Stadium in the Knockout Round on Thursday night.
