PORTLAND, Ore.
– The Portland Timbers today announced that the club and forward
O.J.
Obatola
have come to a mutual agreement to release the player from his contract.
Obatola, 22, appeared in six games for the Timbers during the regular season, totaling 348 minutes, one goal and one assist. He joined the club April 7 after playing four seasons in Singapore.
The Timbers wrap up a two-game road trip Saturday against the Miami FC Blues; kickoff from Lockhart Stadium is set for 4:30 p.m. (Pacific). Listen to the match live on 95.5 The Game; a live video webstream will be available at
