The Portland Timbers turn quickly from their big win over the weekend to travel to face the San Jose Earthquakes Wednesday at PayPal Park (7:30pm PT, FOX 12 PLUS).

Portland scored a club record seven goals on 11 shots – a 63.64% shot conversion rate – against SKC on May 14. The 63.64% shot conversion rate is the most efficient rate by a team that has scored seven or more goals in a single MLS match.

Sebastián Blanco’s two goal, two assist performance on May 14 earned him Player of the Week honors. Blanco became the first player in Timbers history and the only MLS player since 2020 to record at least two goals and two assists in a game.

The Timbers are unbeaten against the Earthquakes in seven straight matches (W5 D2), dating back to the 2019 season. Heading into the 30th matchup all-time between the two sides, Portland holds a 15-5-9 record over San Jose.

Portland has earned six road points through six road matches this season. Notably, Jaroslaw Niezgoda has scored three goals in Portland’s last five games on the road (NYRB, Vancouver, Dallas).

Bill Tuiloma is one of four players in the league to have two or more headed goals this season. Four of Tuiloma’s seven career goals in MLS have been headed goals.
