Timbers, Thorns celebrating Pride in June

Pride Month is here! Learn about what the Portland Timbers and Thorns FC are doing throughout the month of June to show support for the LGBTQ2SIA+ community.

Pride Nights

Thorns FC vs. Angel City FC
Friday, June 3 | 7:30pm PT

The Thorns will be wearing special edition Pride kit numbers at this match with each kit being auctioned off after the match by Stand Together. Be on the look out!

Ian Morton, executive director of the Q Center (more on them below) will also be singing the national anthem Friday at Providence Park.

Timbers vs. Rapids
Saturday, June 25 | 7:30pm PT

Both teams will be spending the month supporting our players and their support of Athlete Ally and the organization's aims of supporting LGBTQ2SIA+ inclusion in sport. Athlete Ally works to "make sport open & inclusive through education, policy & athlete activism."

And throughout Pride, the Thorns and Timbers will be showing their appreciation of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community through the club's in-stadium messaging, social media outreach, and initiatives with Major League Soccer and the National Women’s Soccer League.

Root for Goals

For every goal scored by either the Timbers or Thorns in the month of June, the club will donate $100 to the Q Center.

The center, whose mission is “to provide safe spaces, community building and empowerment for the positive transformation of LGBTQ2SIA+ communities and allies,” is “the largest LGBTQ+ community center in the Pacific Northwest.” Located on North Mississippi Avenue, the Q Center has served Portland since 2005.

Additionally, the Q Center is also the beneficiary for the limited edition TikTok 4 Good scarf. Get yours today!
