Special Finnana Banana Pizza will be available by the slice at Pizzicato locations on Sept. 5 matchday against Minnesota United FC.
Timbers fans know defender Finn Surman as a stalwart centerback for the team and a World Cup vet for New Zealand who scored on soccer's biggest stage.
What fans may not know is that Surman is also a big proponent of banana on pizza.
In a club social media post this week, Timbers players were asked about whether banana belonged on pizza and everyone pointed to Surman who explained his love for the unique topping.
Surman: "It tastes so good!"
Surman was also asked about it in an interview this week on 94.7 KNRK with Greg Glove where, after chatting about what music he listens to before a game, working with new head coach Martà Cifuentes and more, the New Zealand international doubled down on his love of the curious pizza ingredient, saying, "It'll change your life!"

Fans will now have a chance to try it for themselves! Available as a special slice for Saturday's match against Minnesota United FC (7:30pm PT, TICKETS), Finnana Banana Pizza is coming to Providence Park!
Fans can find it available at the stadium's three Pizzicato stands:
- East Vista Pizzicato (NE Stand)
- Pizzicato near Section 105
- Pizzicato near Section 109
