Midfielder Dairon Asprilla was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 29 after tallying a brace and an assist in T2’s 6-3 win over the Tacoma Defiance at Providence Park on Sept. 20.
The two-goal performance against Tacoma marked the third time this season that Asprilla has tallied a brace for T2 on loan from the Timbers in 2019. In nine appearances (9 starts) for T2 during the USL Championship campaign, Asprilla has tallied nine goals and two assists in 765 minutes played. Notably, Asprilla has a goal-scoring mark of 1.06 goals-per 90 minutes played in nine starts with T2 in 2019.
The Team of the Week recognition marks the third time in 2019 that Asprilla was honored, and the 11th time this season that a T2 player has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week.
Next up, T2 play host to Austin Bold FC at Providence Park on Sunday, Sept. 29. Beginning at 1 p.m. (Pacific), the match against Austin will be streamed live on ESPN+.
