PORTLAND, Ore. – Playing the first of three matches in seven days, T2 will play host to Orange County Blues FC at Merlo Field on Sunday, Aug. 14; kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (Pacific).
The match on Sunday marks the second and final meeting between T2 and Orange County in 2016, with Portland sustaining a 1-0 loss on the road at Anteater Stadium on April 20.
T2 (6-11-4, 22pts) enter Sunday’s match looking to build off a 4-3, come-from-behind victory against LA Galaxy II at the StubHub Track & Field Stadium on Aug. 6. After trailing 3-0 at halftime, midfielder Villyan Bijev tallied a brace, and an assist on the game-winning goal from midfielder Neco Brett in stoppage time, while midfielder Blake Bodily scored his second goal of the season to begin the second-half comeback. Through 21 games played, Brett ranks first on the club in goals scored (5), while Bijev leads the team in assists (4).
Orange County Blues FC (9-10-4, 31pts) head into Sunday’s match following a 1-0 win on the road against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Aug. 10 at UBC Thunderbird Stadium. Sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference, Orange County now has a 4-6-2 record on the road. Forward Trevin Caesar and midfielder Didier Crettenand are tied for the team lead in goals scored (7), while defender Roy Meeus leads the club with four assists.

Following Sunday’s match, T2 will travel to play Real Monarchs SLC at Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 17; kickoff is set for 6 p.m. (Pacific).
