For the second week in a row, Portland Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts has been nominated for the MLS Save of the Week. This time, it was his timely late save via a Chicago Fire free kick into the box. Jumping high and to his left, Ricketts was able to deny Chicago defender Bakary Soumare's attempted header near the backpost.
Nominated alongside RSL's Nick Rimando, Philly's Zac MacMath, Montreal's Troy Perkins, and Seattle's Stefan Frei, Ricketts is in formidable company.
Voting runs until 11.59 pm PT on Thursday.
