The NWSL season is still young, and some players are still adjusting to life in Portland. But for Danielle Foxhoven, no adjustment period was necessary.
Though she hails from Littleton, Colorado, Foxhoven played her college soccer at the University of Portland. During her time on the bluff, Foxhoven reached fourth on the Pilots’ all-time scoring list with 139 points (57 goals, 25 assists).
After a brief stint in Russia playing for FC Energiya Voronezh, Foxhoven signed with Thorns FC as a Discovery Player on February 21, 2013. Since arriving, Foxhoven has played in all six Thorns games this season, scoring a goal against the Chicago Red Stars on April 27th.
