2012 Corporate Cup Finals

Ever wondered what it's like to play a game of soccer at Providence Park?

If you're a Pacific Northwest business, the Portland Timbers Community Cup could provide you with the opportunity to do exactly that.

The Portland Timbers Community Cup is a full 11v11 soccer tournament offering Men's competitive and recreational as well as Co-Ed bracket play. Finalists from each bracket will face off in August at Providence Park, with the winners claiming their own log slice trophy and the bragging rights that come with it.

All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Portland Timbers Stand Together Community Fund, which supports charitable, non-profit organizations throughout the greater Portland region.

"Playing in the Portland Timbers Community Cup is all about community," says MerryJane Fosdick, captain of the Microsoft Co-Ed team. "We have the privilege of representing our companies while giving back to community, creating networks across corporations, and building teams and friendships."

"It's simply a great feeling to support the Portland Timbers Stand Together Community Fund, and I love being a part of it," she added. "As a member of the Microsoft Corporate Co-Ed Soccer Team for the past four years, participating in this tournament is one example of how Microsoft's culture supports charities by enabling employees to donate with corporate matching and encouraging employees to get out of the office and promote healthy lifestyles."

The preliminary round is held at Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District’s Howard M. Terpenning Complex August 8-9, 2015 with each team playing three matches over the weekend. The finalists then square off at Providence Park on August 23, 2015.
