Timbers on Loan: Liam Ridgewell helps Brighton & Hove Albion to third win in a row

Brighton & Hove Albion and Portland Timbers on-loan defender Liam Ridgewell continue their hot streak with the Seagulls winning their third match on the trot with a 3-0 win over Brentford FC Friday night.

Ridgewell made his fifth start in a row for Brighton as they remain in the hunt for promotion from the tight race in the Sky Bet Championship. Sitting on 53 points and in fourth position, the Seagulls are only three points behind first place Hull City.

Against Brentford Friday night, Ridgewell once again put in a full 90 and helped the team to another clean sheet--their third in their last four matches. The goals for the home side came from Anthony Knockaert, Tomer Hemed and Jamie Murphy. Said Brighton manager Chris Hughton after the match, "It was certainly one of our best performances of the season, and what we were able to get was some goals."

Brighton host next-to-last place Bolton Wanderers on Saturday at The American Express Community Stadium.
