Quick Strikes | Portland Timbers return to LA for first time since record-setting half in 2015

Diego Chara, Timbers vs. Crew, 3.6.16

For the second consecutive week, the Portland Timbers will play a Sunday road match on national television as they take on the LA Galaxy at the StubHub Center (6:30PM PT, FS1). Here are five numbers to know for #LAvPOR in the latest Quick Strikes.

25 The last time the Timbers and Galaxy played each other was on Oct.18, 2015 at the StubHub Center when Portland became the first team in 14 years to score five goals in a half on the road. The five goals took place over a 25-minute span, which is the third shortest span ever for a MLS team to score five goals.

150 On Sunday, Diego Chara became the fourth player in the history of the Portland Timbers to play 150 league games for the club, joining Darlington Nagbe (MLS), Willie Anderson (NASL), and Scot Thompson (USL). Portland's Sunday opponent, the LA Galaxy, have had 11 players top the 150-game mark.

2Jack McInerney has had success when playing at the LA Galaxy, having scored two goals in just three games when facing the Galaxy in Carson. In fact, McInenery's first career MLS goal came against the Galaxy as a 17-year-old while with the Philadelphia Union on May 1, 2010 at the then-named Home Depot Center.

21 Midfielder Diego Valeri has attempted 21 shots this season through four games, which is tied with Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco for most shots this season in MLS. Last season, it took Valeri eight matches to reach 21 shots for the season.

5This season has seen players from around the world take to the pitch wearing the Timbers colors with home nations being represented by Argentina, Colombia and more. However, the five countries that have produced the most Timbers players across the NASL, USL and MLS eras are the United States (224), England (39), Scotland (18), Canada (16), and Jamaica (8).
