#StatMan Three | Timbers dominated the passing game against NYC FC

In just the second meeting ever between the two clubs, the Portland Timbers lost 2-1 to New York City FC Sunday at Providence Park. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


7 For the seventh time this season, Fanendo Adi scored a goal at Providence Park. His seven home goals in 2016 are two more than any other MLS player has at home this season. 


486 Portland completed 486 passes on Sunday, which is the most the Timbers have ever completed in an MLS match. The former club record for successful passes in a match was set against the LA Galaxy in 2012 with 475. 


46Midfielder Diego Valeri was credited with nine chance creations in the match, bringing his total to an MLS-leading 46 in 2016.
