The 2017 MLS regular-season begins Friday when the Timbers host Minnesota United FC at Providence Park (6:30pm PT, FS1). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvMIN in a season opening edition of Quick Strikes. 


13 Dating back to the USL era, Portland is undefeated in its last 13 home openers with a record of 8-0-5. Since joining MLS, the Timbers are undefeated in their first game of the season at Providence Park (3-0-3).


16 Heading into his fourth season with Portland, forward Fanendo Adi is the only Western Conference player who has scored at least 16 goals in each of the last two seasons. 


394 Offseason newcomers Sebastián Blancoand David Guzmán will both be making their MLS debuts this season. The duo has played a combined 394 professional league matches over the course of their respective careers.
