Thorns FC's forward Christine Sinclair is one of five players from around the globe whom have been shortlisted for the BBC Women's Footballer of the Year 2017 award. Created in 2015, the award celebrates and recognizes the best women's football player in the world.


Voting is now open to the public on the BBC website.
