2017 Stand Together Week Day 4 | Timbers, Thorns FC and T2 players go to work on seven projects on #STWeek’s fourth day

Wednesday plays host to seven projects throughout the city of Portland including art classes for children, a beach clean-up, and some pick-up soccer scrimmages.



Construction continues on housing for low-income families, with Willamette West Habitat for Humanity on Wednesday, thanks to Thorns FC players Hayley Raso, Celeste Boureille, Meghan Cox, and Britt Eckerstrom alongside T2’s Max Ornstil, Harold Hanson and Lamar Batista, and volunteers from New Relic. Mike Golub, the Timbers’ Jeff Attinella, and Thorns’ Katherine Reynolds will join Daimler, Providence Health and Services, and Enterprise Holdings at The Children’s Book Bank to clean used books, while community ambassador Nat Borchers and T2 players Christian Herrera and Andre Lewis will de-nail and prepare building materials at The Rebuilding Center with volunteers from Daimler. Thorns FC players Emily Sonnett,Mallory Weber, and Thorns FC goalkeeping coach Nadine Angererwill meet up with volunteers from Alaska/Horizon Air, Hampton Lumber, Enterprise Holdings and Danner Boots to assist Willamette Riverkeeper with a beach clean-up at Kelley Point Park. Timbers Fanendo Adi, and T2’s Omar Mohamed, and Wade Hamiltonwill strap on their boots for a scrimmage soccer game with kids at Vance Park alongside New Relic and Volunteers of America. Meanwhile, Lawrence Olum, Thorns’ Mana Shim and Adrianna Franch, and T2’s Michael Amick and Kyle Bjornethun are slated to partner up with Hampton Lumber and Providence Health and Services to host an art class at Kateri Park. Finally, Amobi Okugo and adidas volunteers will meet up to play some soccer at McCoy Park with 4Worlds United.
